Skype 5.2 for Mac Adds Screen Sharing to Group Calls

Skype 5.2 for Mac now has screen sharing for group calls as well as one-on-one calls. Screen sharing has been a feature of the Mac version of the popular peer-to-peer web calling service since 2009. It wasn't until now that you could share your screen during group calls as well, allowing more than one person to see your screen.

Group calling is unfortunately a Skype premium feature, which means the new group screen sharing feature will be also. Skype premium will run you about $4.99 a month, which is 50% off until July 31st. After that I assume it will cost you around $9.99 a month, but only one user has to be a premium member to use the feature so its worth it for business and family use.

The new Google+, from what I have heard, has a good group video calling feature that seems to be impressing people. The service is still in Beta and the invite structure is down so who knows when I'll be able to test out Google's Group "Hangout" video calls.
