Hulu to come to Xbox 360 – Subscription Based of Course

The the rumor is that Microsoft is going to announce at E3 that Hulu will be coming to the Xbox 360. Hulu, one of the biggest TV show online steaming services, has already said they are going to charge a monthly fee for a service called Hulu Plus. This service will allow users to watch all new and back episodes of the supported shows and not just the last 5 episodes. There is no word yet if the Xbox channel will have access to all the Hulu content through Hulu Plus or if they will only give you access to currently free content.

The paid service is yet to hit market and there has been some speculation of who will get the service first on their device. People have been talking about the iPad getting the service, but there has been no such announcement from Apple at this point. Perhaps we will have to wait and see what happens at the WWDC 10 on June 7th.

According to the rumor sites this is all but certain at this point. Hulu is most likely going to make it's way to Xbox at some point, which is exciting. The Hulu feature on Xbox will of course not be free, you will most likely have to pay for access to the channel or pay for a Hulu Plus subscription service to watch Hulu on you Xbox.

If Microsoft decides they want to charge you for watching already free content on Hulu, I would say I'm out. If they handle it like they did Netflix, allowing people to pay for a Hulu subscription and get access to it from Xbox, I would say i'm all for it. I have a feeling however that Microsoft is going to try and charge people just to have access to Hulu via Xbox which is LAME and would be a deal breaker for me. If they were smart they would try and make it worth it for people to have and that means making it free with a Hulu subscription, that's where I stand for now.
