RedBox Vs. NetFlix

While I am a huge NetFlix fan, I must say that I think maybe RedBox has them beat. My family loves movies and NetFlix is great for movie lovers. Rent what you want and they mail it to you. Keep it as long as you like (well, within reason) and mail it back after you have watched it to get your next one. Now, there is RedBox. RedBox is the same concept except there is no mailing involved and no membership fees. You can rent your DVDs online and have them ready to be picked up from the Red Box on your way home. That’s it! The only aggravation I have found is that it is catching on here so the line of people waiting to view what is available on the box can get long. Also, this is an independent vending machine type concept, so the employees of the location of the box can’t help you. I have found them at Winn Dixie and WalMart locally. Movies are only $1 per night and there is no “late” fee. You can keep the movie as long as you like, but the longer you keep it, the more you pay. It’s very convenient for those who like to just go get a movie at the spur of the moment. If you can wait for your movie to arrive in the mail, then NetFlix is still the better option for you (no lines, no waiting).

I suggest trying RedBox before 5:00. Seems that after 5:00, the number of people who want to use it grows significantly. Again, it’s like a vending machine so you will have to wait if the person in front of you didn’t use the Redbox website to reserve the DVD first.
