Starbucks Now Offers Free Wi-Fi – It's about Time

Starbucks is now offering free unlimited Wi-Fi at all it's company operated stores nationwide starting today July 1st. Starbuck had been offering 2 free hours of internet free a day, when you had a Starbucks card with at least $5 on it. So you had to have a Starbucks card, it had to have money on it, and you still only got two hours a day. The new Wi-Fi is free, it's unlimited, and it's a one click connection. No more Starbucks cards, not more logins, and no 2 hours restriction.

Yeah! Starbucks has finally caught up with every other coffee shop in the world. It's pretty much a given that you will have free Wi-Fi at a coffee shops, but no, not at Starbucks you have to pay for it. I use to work for Starbucks and I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. Here we are the largest coffee house in the US and we don't have free Wi-Fi. I'm glad they finally came to their senses.

Starbucks isn't stopping with just free Wi-Fi.  They are planning a Starbucks digital Network to provide exclusive content, community news, and local volunteer opportunities. With a growing list of partners like Yahoo, Wall Street Journal, Apple and Zagat it's sure to be interesting. The new digital network is coming to stores this fall.
