Lots of games take that kind of devotion (or obsession) to get into, but not Smash Bros. You don't have to spend all your time unlocking stuff to be equal to your fellow brawlers, and you can play once in a blue moon (like me) and still enjoy brawling with the people who practically worship the game...

It still never ceases to amaze me just how complex and huge Smash Brothers Brawl is. After playing for an entire year I still haven't even come close to completing the game. There are still hundreds of trophies I haven't earned, and even more music and levels I have yet to unlock. I have barely...

Well, if you want to bridge the gap between Brawl and the original Smash Bros., Classic Mode is probably the best way to do it. Of course, Classic Mode's a heck of a lot harder in the new game, so brace yourself!

I'm not sure you really can overthink the strategy of this game, or even of a single character. There are no real limits to any one character's potential. I've lost miserably to people just because they had mastered one move of one character! In short, there's a lot of advantage to thinking...

One huge difference between the original Smash Bros. and Smash Bros. Brawl is that Brawl is a lot harder to beat. While this can be frustrating at times, it makes it a lot better than the original in my opinion. I remember I could pick up a controller anytime and beat the original's story mode on...

What I like best about Smash Bros is that it's so simple, and yet, it never gets old. No matter how long you've played it, you can't exhaust it's possibilities. For example, I just took up Ike as my new main character, and suddenly, I look at the game through a whole new perspective....

The big problem with Zero Suit Samus is that she doesn't get KO's very easily. My recommendation is to use her in team battles because she can use her range and agility to defend slower characters that specialize in KO's.

Of course, it's really this technique leaves you wide open for attack, especially if you mess it up and get stuck taunting. I suggest knocking your opponent over the edge of the level before you use it. That way, you'll have time to complete your transformation, and you'll also be able to...

Sheik's up-B recovery is hard to aim because it makes her temporarily vanish, forcing you to aim blindly. I've often ended up underneath a ledge when trying to reach it using her standard recovery. Her chain whip recovery is very useful because it makes short-range, oblique recoveries not only...

Shiek got a serious upgrade to her already great arsenal of attacks. She can now use her chain whip to grapple onto an edge. If you're not quite close enough to grab on, use the Side+B move to sling out the whip and latch it on. Then while hanging below the ledge, press the A button to pull yourself...
