  • All Around Me are Familiar Faces...

What had the largest opening week in the history of entertainment media? I know. Easy question. After all, it just happened and everyone is still talking about it. Few, if any, people I know haven't seen it. It had everything an audience would want -- great acting, action scenes that just don't...

  • Does Rock Band Spark Interest in Music?

One of the main goals in Rock Band, aside from providing a fun game for everyone to enjoy, is to spark interest in music for this generation. Much of the youth of today seem to be more interested in fast-paced video games than the often challenging and slow process of learning music. Rock Band puts the...

  • Re: Skillet

Skillet has risen to the my personal Top Ten in the music department! I hadn't known much about them until more recently, besides the few songs they'd play on the Christian radio station. A friend gave me Comatose, their latest CD (I believe it is anyway!) and I'm hooked. I love the first...

  • Re: Skillet

I only recently discovered Skillet, but I was immediately taken by their sound. I especially like their blend of classical strings and heavy electric guitar in some of their songs.

  • Skillet

Another of my favorite bands is Skillet. They are much like Kutless in that they blend beautiful instrumental music with heavy electronic rock. The sound is extremely powerful. The lyrics are also very poetic and compelling. They have a wide range of music from the quiet "Yours to Hold" to...

  • Classic Rock

I was inspired by the horn to look up some classical music on Youtube to play in the background while I work. It really helps me concentrate and get more done to have music going. I remembered how much I love Pachelbel's compositions, especially Canon in D. I bumped into a clip of someone who takes...

  • Music Pirating

Do you think pirating of music will be an increasing problem, or do you think it will get better? While our society continually updates its technology, we may someday find ways to make music harder to pirate. At the same time pirates may find better ways around these measures and just stay one step ahead...

  • Favorite Music Groups: Kutless

I think my all time favorite group is Kutless. They blend beautiful and touching and incredibly intricate orchestration with the energy and power of rock music. Unlike most harder music, it has moving and poetic lyrics as well. It all melts into a moving and enjoyable experience. They have a huge variety...

  • Re: The Beauty of Smash

I'm especially glad they redid some of the old Donkey Kong music. The original 3 Donkey Kong games had some of the best video game music ever--especially Donkey Kong Country 2. I really enjoy hearing those old Donkey Kong songs reinvented as I play Brawl.
