Well, the promised press conference has been pretty disappointing so far. Those who found the "Bigfoot" remains still have them hidden in an undisclosed location. They have only let their chosen scientists near the specimen. Naturally if this was real it would be wise not to leave it where it could be stolen, but they are still acting rather suspiciously. One of their scientists will supposedly be doing an autopsy soon.
The three blood samples weren't too conclusive either. One was deemed inconclusive, one was human, and the other was said to be 95% opossum. While it is possible that it's showing traces of a possum and human it recently ate, most likely it's showing hair from whatever fur is mixed in with it. Still, I don't know why they thought a DNA test would show anything. DNA tests show a pattern of DNA which can be matched up with other DNA from the same or similar sources. If most of it is similar to an existing animal they can see what it most closely resembles, but if we had a real Bigfoot on our hands, we don't have any other Bigfoot blood to match it up with.
We will find out what the autopsy results show, but the suspicious behavior of its owners isn't encouraging... especially after they announced that they will be leading Bigfoot search expeditions for around $500 per person.
