Lucky, the koala, was hit by an unsuspecting driver at 60 mph. His head got caught in the grill of the car and he was dragged over 7 miles before someone saw him and flagged down the driver. He was able to hang on with one hand and his head. They cut his head from the grill with household scissors and he emerged relatively undamaged. He was in shock, but recovered within a couple hours. He is now being held in the animal hospital set up by Steve Irwin until he is deemed ready to return to the wild.
