The aptly named Deadlocke was once an engineer by trade. While working on one of his inventions, he caused a massive chemical explosion. He was presumed dead, but miraculously recovered. Still, the aftermath left him crippled and sickly. It also burned off most of his hair and stained the rest green. In his weakened state, he was forced to stay within the safety of Ironforge and swear off the life of an adventurer. He now makes his livelihood as an auction house stockbroker, living in his luxurious penthouse and enjoying his vast wealth.
