    About Smallville

I started watching a few episodes of Smallville with my girlfriend and have really been enjoying it. Naturally, it's got lots of fun Superman action, along with comic book style super villains. The really interesting part of the show is it portrays this superhuman hero as so human. We get to see him struggle through the problems that face every kid growing up.

He struggles to keep his powers secret while he tries to fit in with everyone around him. We get to watch as he slowly discovers and develops his super powers. We also see as his parents raise him lovingly and patiently, instilling in him the values and inner strength of character that causes him to grow up to be the Superman we know.

I really love this show! Not to mention Clark Kent is a cutie. :P

I really enjoy watching this show with a few good friends. It's great when they point out funny things that happen. Like when the girl that Clark likes has lip stick on her teeth. "MAKE UP!"

If you haven't seen it, YOU SHOULD! :D

The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from.

They really need to watch that lipstick on the teeth thing. My girlfriend has paused the DVD and pointed at her to see a big smear of lip stick right there on her teeth... 3 TIMES so far. And we're only on like episode 10. It's so much better when they're about to have a touching love scene and she looks deep into his eyes and smiles... and you see a big pink tooth. Talk about killing the romance. It's funny to see though.

I think my favorite episode is when the football players put the nerdiest freshman on the stick in the field.. They called him the scare crow. The nerd got hit with a meteorite and became a bad guy. After Clark helps everyone the bad guy forgets he did anything and doesn't even remember being on the stick.  I don't like it because it's funny in anyway... but because of the people I was with when I saw it. We kept making jokes and one of my friends said that in the end Clark should have put the nerd back on the stick. :)

Haha that's great. So wrong, but the irony is just so beautiful. Thankfully most people who get picked on don't get super powers and run around killing all the guys who used to pick on them. They just become heads of major corporations and get to laugh at them when they drive their BMW into the McDonalds where the bullies now work. Not quite as cool, but still just as beautiful.
