When I was younger, there was a hurricane that knocked a lot of
young animals from their nests. My family decided to help out by
adopting three baby squirrels who had lost their mother.

They
were a lot of fun and SO cute, but they were also a lot of work to take
care of. They had to be fed every few hours all through the night, so
we had to take shifts feeding and cleaning them. It's a good think
they're cute because it took a lot out of us waking up at all hours of
the night. I used to put them in my shirt pocket and they would curl up
in a little ball and fall asleep with the warmth. They were very soft
and cuddly and loved to nuzzle up against us as they slept. When they
got big enough to take care of themselves, they had to be released back
into the wild. Apparently when squirrels get older they get more wild
and become very difficult to keep in captivity.
Every man dies, but few truly live. Live your life to its fullest, every day as if it were your last.
