So many of you in the gaming community has at least noticed the new game Spore that is starting to take hold in the gaming community. One of the things that I think is really cool is that they have versions of the game not only for the PC and Mac but also the iPod and iPhone. The version for the iPhone and iPod are baisic versions of the real game. They are basically the first stage of the full game for Mac and PC.  The stage where your just an organism trying to eat things that are smaller than you and trying to avoid the creatures that are bigger than you. I thought that it was cool to see a game that I have played be adapted to so many different platforms. I have to admit the the PC and Mac versions are way more complex but there is only so much that you can do in a mobile environment.

To be honest, so far my favorite stage in Spore is the cell stage. It's so much fun to swim around and eat things while adapting to become a more effective predator. By the looks of it, the iPhone Spore may have even more customizable parts as well and more detailed environments. If I get an iPhone, I may have to get Spore for it. They really did a good job at adapting Spore to so many platforms. I'll have to look into the DS version too. I have always been impressed with most DS games.  

I also found cell stage to be my favorite but I'm also a biology GEEK. So getting to swim around and eat little bits of plant matter like what I used to watch and struggle to identify under the microscope was pure awesome.

 It's no surprise to me that Spore has greatly exceeded expectations and remains one of the top sold PC games, not to mention all the other adaptations that carries the title.

yeah I think that its great that the spore game can be played on the iphone as was as the ipod. I like the PC version but its nice to see a mobile version as well.
