    Ending Women's Suffrage

PaulCarson posted earlier to remind us of the day when the US Constitution was passed the 19th amendment to guarantee women the right to vote. After much protests and political struggles, women's suffrage (the right to vote) was granted to them, and this right is still cherished and guarded today.

This YouTube video shows just how much this right means to some Americans today. The makers passed around a petition to end women's suffrage on a highly acclaimed college preparatory campus. Ending women's suffrage means taking away the right for women to vote. And these girls were all for it.

Apparently not a lot of people caught on to this because there were an overwhelming amount of women who signed a petition to take away their own right to vote. It makes me take any other petitions into question as well. If people would sign away their right to vote, what other ridiculous issues would they support on paper? Enjoy the video here.

Thats what I'm talking about. You can get anyone to agree to anything if you stick a camera in their face.

I would say you can get anyone to agree to anything if you frame it correctly. If you passed around a petition to ban all oil production to save cute baby seals and penguins from eminent dirtiness, people would be moved with compassion and sign right away. They wouldn't give a second thought about how they would get to work the next morning, or how they would do when the economy shut down due to lack of transportation. There wouldn't be a second thought about the children who would starve without an economy to support them. All they would be thinking about is cute baby seals covered in sludge. People are all about the hype and the greater ideals behind it, but few people even give a second thought to the actual plan for accomplishing these goals.
