Absent Minded Parents Leave Child in Airport

The parents of five children were midway through their flight from Israel to Paris when they were informed they had forgotten something at the airport terminal. They had remembered their 18 bags and four of their children, but forgotten about their three-year-old child. She was found wandering the terminal alone. Airport security informed the absent minded parents about their mistake and sent the child along on the next available flight. She was reunited with her family in Paris soon afterwards. Perhaps next time they should pack less bags, and concentrate more heavily on bringing the kids along.

Sparking discussions to illuminate your horizons.

I'm tempted to criticize those parents for their negligence, but pride comes before the fall. I know from experience that one three-year-old can be enough of a challenge to keep track of, 18 bags and four other kids aside. Still, I've gotta admit it doesn't reflect well on the parents that they had to be "informed" of their mistake. I hope that if I ever left a kid behind, I'd realize the mistake myself, and quickly.

How awkward would that be to have to approach a mother and say, hi, mam, uhh... you forgot your child at the airport... I can't imagine the parents felt very good about themselves or their poor child. I bet they felt much worse when they hit the international news. The moral of the story: Don't forget your kid or you may face certain embarrassment.

That's my way of the ninja!
