The first ship I recommend getting as a Gallente miner is the Navitas. This frigate is excellent for mining. For each frigate skill level it gives you 20% mining yield. At frigate level 5, you get double the mining amount. It also supports 2 turrets, so you can easily fit 2 miner 1s. If you do this, I recommend packing a drone to defend you while you're out mining. These ships require Frigate Lv 2 and Spaceship Command Lv 1 to pilot them. They cost on average about 15,000 Isk which is quite affordable for a ship. I highly recommend going straight to this ship as your first frigate.
