    Favorite TV Shows

What are some of your favorite TV shows?

I don't have a lot of time to watch TV myself but I sometimes watch recorded seasons on DVD or computer. Some of my favorites are:

The Office: I love this show. It reminds me so much of my old job working for the State of Florida that I get endless enjoyment from it. It's also got characters that you really grow to love (or hate) and want to see what happens with them.

Heroes: Unlike most super hero shows, this series depicts people with superhuman powers in such a realistic and human way. We see them struggle not just with evil, but with their own personal growth as their powers shape their personality to fight for good or evil.

Smallville: This series centers around Superman as a teenager growing up in a small town. My girlfriend got me hooked on this series and we sometimes watch it during dinner.

Naruto: Strangely enough, this anime for Japanese teenagers is one of my favorite shows. It's about ninjas and all of them have unique skills and personalities. Naturally they're full of surprises and epic battles, but what really gets me is the depth in the characters and story. It has over 300 episodes to date and still continues with a new one each week. Its myriad of characters grow up in skill and personality as the series goes on. It has so many lessons in life. Besides all that, it's incredibly entertaining and has just the right mix of comedy and action.

I watch the American version that airs on NBC. They have a feature where you can watch episodes online with just a couple commercials thrown in there. You end up with just about 2 minutes of commercials total, instead of "We interrupt your regularly scheduled commercials to bring you this brief program". You can watch the office online HERE.

I have been meaning to try out the British version. My brother says it's pretty good. Do you watch either version?

When it comes to tv I definately have my favorites and then those that I watch with my husband. My current favorites are Big Bang Theory, America's Next Top Model, and Degrassi. My husband and I watch all the CSIs, Law and Orders (I prefer SVU), and Medium.

You guys probably can't guess what my favorite TV show is.... Naruto! Yep, it's a great show and I really enjoy it. Sure it's intended for Japanese teenagers, but it's still lots of fun for adults too. I also like Heroes and The Office. Both are really entertaining for their own reasons. I have never been a fan of CSI myself. I prefer the light-hearted, fun shows.

That's my way of the ninja!

I think the only TV show that I actually turn on the TV to watch is So You Think You Can Dance?

Otherwise, anything else I watch is normally through the computer somehow ._. Youtube is addictive, what can I say?

I would have to say that my favorite TV show has got to be CSI. I think that I have seen more CSI episodes than any other show on TV. I love them all CSI miami, CSI New York and of course the original CSI Las Vegas.

    Re: Favorite TV Shows

Currently I'd have to say that Dexter and Sons of Anarchy are my two favorite shows. Dexter, as most people will tell you, is a consistently good show. It's full of plot development and there's rarely an episode that leaves the viewer feeling relaxed or relieved. Best of all, it takes something horrible -- a serial killer -- and give him a soul (althouth he'd deny that claim). Sons of Anarchy is the most surprising show of the new season though. The surprise? It's really, really good! Again with the consistency. Each episode builds upon the last and delivers new and interesting plot developments. The cast is exceptional. Everyone from Hellboy to Peg Bundy play off the actions of a realtively new actor, Charlie Hunnam. He's a little rough, especially with his body language, but still does a fine job of dealing with the content. Basically if you've ever read Hell's Angels by Hunter S. Thompson, you owe it to yourself and the great Gonzo's ghost to check this one out.

I'm still waiting with baited breath for the last half of the final season of Battlestar Galactica. I can't wait to see how it all ends although I'm sure it will be depressing if the show remains true to form.
