My brother called me around Christmas time and said I had to come visit the family and see the goats in the backyard. I laughed and said, ya know, with our family I actually thought you were serious for a second... He laughed and said, actually I am. Apparently our neighbors bought a couple goats for their parents as a Christmas present. The goats got loose and my family chased them all over the neighborhood.
Now these were not just any goats. There is a special breed of goat that's prone to fainting. If they get too scared, they will actually lock up and fall on the ground. So my family chased them around yelling and screaming to try to make them faint, but no one could scare them enough to make them pass out. They finally caught them and put them in our fenced in backyard.
Later on, my sister, who was 6 at the time, came in from the backyard in tears. She said she had made the goats faint and was really upset about it. We still don't know how exactly this little kid made the goats faint when all the adults couldn't faze them, but she is a pretty amazing kid. After the neighbors picked up the goats, she was still upset and felt strongly that she owed them an apology. After a lot of trouble to get an audience with the goats she finally said, "I'm sorry" and walked off. And at that everything was ok.
