Something about having a priest at 60 playing through the majority of the raid dungeons, then rolling another priest at expansion and playing through the majority of the raid dungeons makes me think I have an addiction the class.
Just a hunch.
I had otherwise dabbled with spellcasters, thinking the mana-similarities would lend a hand in grasping the class. DPS just wasn't for me. I came to find that out despite my first class being a hunter, which I enjoy moreso than other ranged damage classes. I rolled a paladin to 70, and played her also at 60. I still enjoy my paladin but it lacks the sheer versatility of the priest in several key areas. I also have a druid and shaman but their jack of all trades can be annoying for me to level - their end game varities in healing are powerful and I respect that. But yet, there is that versatility to a priest that cannot be denied having AoE heals, HoT's, and decently strong direct heals.
My favorite alt is from the opposite world: warrior. I'm enjoying it immensely, healing allowing me the opportunity to watch threat closer than I ever had to before.
Being sad is the same thing as giving up.
