When posting on any forum or blog, you can include hyperlinks that link your post to outside sites. You can use these to refer people to external sites, or other blog/forums posts on Blogiversity. It's actually quite easy to do and it will really enrich your posts by allowing people to look up extra information relating to your post, just by clicking on the words you place there.
For example if I want people to click on the words "Blogiversity Help" and have it
link back to the Blogiversity Help forums, the hyperlink will look something like this: Blogiversity Help. To insert a hyperlink, we first need the URL of the page we want to link to, and a keyword in our text to link from. The keywords are the words highlighted in blue that represent where the link is going. I recommend opening the website you are linking to in another window so you can go back and grab the URL easily.
First of all, type your post and include the text you would like to link to. Make sure the keywords are already there in your post before linking them. Then find the page you would like to link to. Highlight the URL in your browser and copy it (Ctrl+C). Now highlight the keywords and click the "Insert/Edit Link" button
in the toolbar. This will be grayed out until you have your text highlighted. A small box will pop up on your screen. Click in the "Link URL" box and paste in the URL (Ctrl+V). You can ignore the other boxes or set it to open the link in a new window when it's clicked. You don't have to add a title. Now just click "Insert" and your text will now be highlighted in blue and underlined. After posting, be sure to check your post and click on the text to make sure it worked properly.
If you need to edit the text within the hyperlink, you can just edit it normally like you would any other text. As long as it remains blue and underlined, you can type, erase, and completely change the words without breaking the hyperlink. Just remember, if you erase all the words in blue, the link will disappear. You can also copy/paste the link text to move it around your post. If you want to remove the link completely, you can either just delete all the text in blue, or you can highlight the blue text and click on the "Unlink" button
right next to the "Insert/Edit Link" button.
