Oh the pain, my beloved best character has been severely nerfed. I used to be able to trash others with my amazingly powerful down smashes, racking up almost 50 damage sometimes. Now it does a measly 10 or so. I'm trying out new characters now. I used to love her amazing ability to  emasculate the best characters by crushing them with turnips, tennis rackets, and frying pans. I'll have to see how I feel about the other characters now.

Peach was one of the best characters in Melee.  I think that Nintendo recognized that and made her less powerful just to even all of the character's.  I noticed that this also happened to Kirby when Melee was released.  When Nintendo makes a new Smash Bros. game, they weaken the high tier characters, and they strengthen the low tier characters.  They are just trying to even the playing field.  I still use Peach even though she isn't as good.  I don't use her as my main, like I did in Melee, but I think that she is still fun to play as.

Ya know, they did nerf her quite a lot, but Peach still packs a punch. I think they took some of the overpower from her down smash and transferred it elsewhere. I'm actually doing pretty well with her now that I've got the hang of Brawl. Her up attack (Non Smash) is extremely powerful, and sends enemies trying to jump on top of you flying really far. She seems to get more items and super turnips too. And her side special move has some serious kick to it. She's lost some float time, but this is countered by upping the power of her umbrella.
