I recently wrote a post in my blog on the rise of gasoline prices. You can view my post on the subject in my blog, Reality Check. As most of you probably already know, the oil prices are maintained by a successful oil cartel that functions as a monopoly in the industry. There was an organized boycott, where everyone refused to buy gas on a specific day. This cost the oil industry millions. The next day, they simply increased prices above what they used to be and made up the losses and then some. I would like to hear if anyone here has any ideas as to other solutions to the problem that I did not cover in my blog post.
