Interlude

Hi all,

We would have liked to post pics and descriptions more often, but, as you know, sometimes you have all the time in the world to do that, and sometimes you simply don't. We're currently at the point of busy busy busy with no end in sight.  But we won't give up! We will post pics of our neighborhood as soon as we get a chance, and will continue describing life here.

Till then, I'd just like to relay that since last year, we have been discovering many new nature-related places that visitors can reach relatively quickly from the center of the country. Israel, it turns out, has many sites to see that are not so well advertised in the papers. There are quite a few wildlife reserves, flower parks, and lake/river spots to visit, and great hiking trails to enjoy.

My (Reuven) parents live in the Golan Heights, and that is a beautiful part of the country that could be a great topic for a post on its own.

Anyhow, thanks to those who read this. We read the blogs of others as well and like to know how others live in different parts of the world.

May you all be blessed with everything that is good, always.

It's good to hear from you again. I have been meaning to go and visit some beautiful nature spots around my home as well. I still don't have my own camera but I may be able to borrow one to take some photos for you all. There are some places around my hometown that really capture the beauty of Florida. I hope to capture a bit of that and bring it back to Blogiversity for everyone to enjoy.

Sounds great. I have an uncle who retired and went to live in Florida.

He told us on many occasions that it's really nice there.

My wife and I believe that a life without nature is not a quality life ...

Some of the more popular retirement spots in South Florida are far more tropical and beautiful than the town I live in. I live just a few hours away in the North section of Florida, but the wildlife is so completely different. Places like Naples, Miami, and the Florida Keys seem to more closely resemble the Caribbean Islands in their climate and wildlife. Last time I was there I really felt like I was in Puerto Rico without having to cross an ocean. Perhaps sometime I can take a trip down South and get some good pictures of that side of Florida as well. For now I'm still trying find opportunities to photograph my home.
