I found this little application that does one thing but can be very useful to some. Sometimes it becomes appropriate to sync folder on your computer. Lets say you have a folder that has presentations on it and you keep a jump drive with those presentations. You would have to plug in the jump drive and drag the new files over to the jump drive if you wanted to keep the folders on both the same.

With SyncTwoFolders you can tell the program to sync the folder for you. All you have to do is pick a Source folder and target folder and when you want them to sync just click the Synchronize button and your off to the races.

You can also use this program to do a kind of manual backup of files that you want to keep secure from hard drive crashes. A pretty useful tool if the situation is right. If you would like to download this software you can find it here: http://tcfj.pagesperso-orange.fr/site/Prg_AutresRB.html

Pando then sends the recipient of the file a little tracker file that they open in their Pando program. Their program downloads the file and you're done. This program is great if you are trying to send a large number of photos to someone and you can't e-mail them.

A lot of people e-mail photos but they have to be small in order to fit them all into one e-mail. Or you will see people send large photos in multiple e-mails in order to get them all sent. The e-mail protocol is not really designed to send files that are that size. They take a long time to get to the recipient and clog their mail while it waits to download your big e-mails.

They also have Pando channels that have video from different Podcast like shows as well as videos from the Onion and other websites that are media based.

Pando is great and it’s free. Give it a try.

These setting or options are all built in they are just hidden from the common user.

One of the things that really bugged me for a while was why you can't turn on hidden files. Nowhere in the Mac OS can you turn on hidden files. With Tinker Tool you can choose to turn them on and relaunch the finder. Presto chango you can see the hidden files. Isn't that great!

TinkerTool allows you to

Show hidden and systems files

Disable sound effects

Disable desktop features

Add "quit" item to finder menu

Disable animation effects when opening files

Disable animation when opening info panels and desktop icons

Disable selection info panel categories.

Allows you to prevent the OS from creating .ds_store files on network connections. Which I also love.

Allows you to change the max number of label lines in icon view.

And these are just the options for the finder.

Some Screen Shots
