I was updating my iphone apps and discovered there was a new update for Skype. I looked at the release notes and you can now place free Skype-to-Skype calls on the 3G network. Skype is releasing iPhone Application

So Skype is releasing an iphone application to do skype IM and Skype calls. The iPhone app hits Tuesday march 31st. It allows you to chat with your Skype friends as well as call them using skypes VOIP connection. You have to be on WiFi however to be able to use the application.
