Mcdonalds to offer Free Wi-Fi at 11,000 locations

McDonald's has had Wi-Fi at 11,000 of it's 14,000 locations for a while now. You were paying $2.99 for 2 hours of Wi-Fi at those select locations. Now McDonald is going to open up the flood gates and make all the internet free starting in mid-January. Why the change?
