OS X Lion Theme for Jailbroken iPhones

Having the ability to completely change the theme of your iPhone is one of the many perks or jailbreaking it. There are plenty of themes out there in the jailbreak community but a new one called OS X Lion Ultimatum not only changes the look of your iPhone but also the way you use your iPhone.

As you can see in the images above the theme is more of a miniature Mac OS X than a theme. There's a finder where you can open windows and view files, a scrollable dock with badges, draggable windows, Launchpad, Stacks, Mission Control, and Dashboard. It is for all intents and purposes is a fully featured version of the Mac OS in the palm of your hand.

Mobile platforms require a different kind of interface for usability reasons which is why Apple didn't simply shrink down there Mac OS and put it on the iPhone. This doesn't mean that people don't want it that way or that it isn't cool. I think if someone saw this running on your iPhone they would be shocked with disbelief. I personally think it would be a pain having to deal with a mini version of the Mac OS rather than the current iOS, but cool nonetheless.

If you want to give the OS X Lion Ultimatum theme a go for your iPhone you can donate $3.50 to the developer to get in on the beta of the theme.
