Min.us - Simple HTML 5 Photo Albums and Photo Sharing

I have written about a little HTML5 photo album creator application called Dropmocks in the past and after then several applications similar to it started to pop up. One of my favorite now is Min.us. The simple web app lets you drag and drop photos onto the web browser creating simple web albums. When you are done adding photos you can share the album with a simple shortened URL. The app also gives you several option on how to share individual images including the image URL, it's gallery image location, forum code, and HTML code. There is even an option to download the entire album in a zip file which is handy if users want to download the images. Min.us can also handle other files as well with preview functionality for pdf, docs, css, and  php files. Other files simply have a default preview. In the future min.us plans on adding a music and video player as well as a document viewer.

The app doesn't require an account to use, but if you want to keep track of your albums and traffic you can use your Google account to authenticate. The application is free of course and its great if you like posting images on blogs or forums and need a place to store them for the time being. It also comes in handy when you have an eBay or Craigslist auction that you want to host your own images. Give it a try.
