Squeeze for Mac – Behind the scenes file compression

Published Friday, February 26, 2010 10:25 AM

Are you running out of space on your computer, but don't want to get rid of anything? Well the solution just might be Squeeze. Squeeze works in the background compressing folders you have assigned to it. It uses the new HFS-compression technology in Snow Leopard to transparently compress your files. So you have space and the best part is programs and finder read them like normal.

All you have to do is point to the folders you want squeeze to compress and it will go to work compressing your files. You can compress everything or just certain folders. If you decide you don't want squeeze anymore all your files that you compressed will not be harmed and can still be read.

Squeeze is normally $10 bucks but you can get it free fro a limited time at “The Macheist
