Opera to Submit Mini Browser to iPhone App Store

Opera a browser maker has made a mini browser for the iphone and is planning on submitting it to app store. The mini browser supposably has 6X faster download speed and 10 times smaller data traffic than safari. The mini browser will feature a server-side compression that will allow you to browse faster and with less data usage. The only question is will it get approved by Apple or not.

Apple has allowed some other browsers in the App Store before but they were from smaller companies and used Safaris rendering engine anyway. Opera has their own engine and some great features like tabbed browsing, Speed Dial, desktop syncing, Password management, and more. I wouldn't hold your breath on this one, but it would be nice to see Apple approve this app I wouldn't mind trying something other than Safari on the iPhone.
