Glitch – Browser Flash Based MMO Game

Glitch is a new MMO game that is currently being developed by Tiny Speck. Glitch is a massively-multiplayer game that is playable in the browser, which is nice for people with older computers and computers without upgraded hardware. The games plot is a little vague but it seems you and your fellow players will be time travailing in an effort to save the future. The game is of a non-violent nature so there are no battles or fighting which might be a problem for some.

When asked why their game is different from other MMO games they said “For starters, it's all one big world. Which means everyone is playing the same game and anyone's actions have the ability to affect every other player in the game. It also involves very little war, moats, spaceships, wizards, mafiosos, or tapestries.”

They seem to be confident in the uniqueness of their game and that it will be fun despite the fact you can't run around killing things or waging war on people. I am excited to see what the game is going to be all about and I am confident it will find an audience be it younger children, woman/mothers, or hardcore gamers.

If you want to see the teaser trailer you will have to go to glitch.com and check it out. They mentioned on the website that the avatars are just prototypes and will look different in the final release of the game. The game is scheduled to release in the Fall of 2010, but the alpha and Beta testing is supposed to start soon. You can go to their website and sign-up for the beta. The game will be free to all to play with items you can purchase and premium accounts will be made available by subscription.
