Siri iPhone Application – It's like having a personal assistant with you all the time!

Well everyone is talking about the Siri app for the iPhone so I thought I would get in on the action. Siri allows to find restaurants, movies, events, local businesses, and more just by telling it what you want. If you tell it “find me a cheap italian restaurant that's romantic”, It will search the internet using several restaurant review websites and will pull up the restaurants near you that qualify. You can then reserve a table using the website Opentable right in the application. You can also get the restaurants phone number, address, and a map of it's location.

Oh but the fun does not stop there. You can then ask Siri to find a movie near where your eating or check your flight to make sure its on time. If you need anything you just say nearest _____ and it will find it. Like nearest coffee, ATM, or gas station, Siri goes out and finds it and returns a list. You can even give it a command like “Remind me to go to the grocery store at 3:00 PM” and Siri will send you an email reminder at 3:00PM to “go to the grocery store”.

This app is really exciting and useful to boot. The voice translation is fast and accurate. The searching is smart and intuitive and will surprise you with how easy it is to use. It is really like having your very  own personal assistant in your pocket. Siri is a free application and I strongly suggest you checking it out.
