Monopoly City Streets - How it's played and is cheating going to be a problem?

I have begun playing monopoly city streets and I have to say that I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. The game is more like Monopoly mixed with risk and Age of Empires. You purchase a street and start building on it. You then earn rent based on the size if the building and what street it’s on. You earn money and expand that’s that easy.

Two things that can get in your way of expanding are chance cards and Hazards. Chance cards either give you money, take it away, or allow you to build a free building or destroy one. So if someone gets a chance card that allows then to destroy any building they could destroy one of yours. Chance cards also give you the ability to build hazard buildings on others properties, which prevent them from collecting rent on that street. Chance cards also allow you to build bonus buildings that protect a property from hazards. If you have a bonus building someone has to first destroy the bonus building before putting a hazard building. So it’s important to  protect your most profitable streets with bonus buildings.

The only thing that could ruin this game is cheating. I think people are cheating by creating more than one account and then selling the property cheaply to their main account. It’s a very obvious solution since you get 3Million to start, which is enough for at least one street and a big building. I don’t know how they are going to protect against this since you can’t block people from having more than one account per IP address since more than one person in a house might want to play. I just don’t want to see it turn into a cheating feast to see who can create the most accounts and money launder the most. There is one guy that is worth over 12,000,000 how is he worth that much in one day with only 3 million to start.  Perhaps cheating is how the real world works anyways.

Okay so I tried it and it appears that you can sell properties from one account to another but there is a minimum that you have to offer and it's somewhere around the value of the property itself without the buildings. So at least it's not going to be cheap to transfer properties from one account to another, I thought you were going to be able to sell properties for $1 from one account to another. This would be cheap and in my opinion would ruin the game.

Update September 12, 2009 5:25 PM Monopoly City Streets Forum

So I started a forum that people can use to talk about the game. If anyone is interested in helping me start it up just let me know. Check it out Monopoly City Streets Forum  . They have also announced that they are going to restart the game once they are comfortable with how the servers are performing, which should be sometime next week. So don't work too hard to get all those streets because it's all going bye bye in a couple days.
