Multi Chat Client with Push for iPhone

I wrote about push notification apps coming to the app store in late June. I discussed two different applications that provide a multi chat client with push notifications for your iphone. I thought I would update you on, which application works the best and will allow you to get your IMs on the go.
There are really only two apps that are competing for the best multi chat with push iphone application. Beejive and IM+ Push . Let me first address Beejive.

BeeJive $9.99

Beejive seems to be pulling away from IM + Push as a clear winner. Even though IM+ push supports more networks Beejive has a great interface and the notifications work flawlessly. The application supports AIM®/iChat®/MobileMe®, MSN®/Windows Live®, Yahoo!®, Facebook, MySpace, GoogleTalk®, ICQ®, & Jabber. Beejive allows you to send pictures, audio, video, and email your chat conversation right from the chat window.  You can change the skin and sounds, and Beejive will even reconnect you if you loose your connection.  It is a great chat experience with full control of the appearance and the notifications the application puts out.

IM + Push $9.99

Now IM+ Push has one major advantages over Beejive. IM+ Push supports Twitter and Skype. Now with Skype you can’t use the voip featuers but you can still use the chat features. Beejive does not support twitter or skype yet. IM+ Push also has support for AIM®/iChat, MSN®/Windows Live™ Messenger, Yahoo!®, ICQ®, Jabber®, Google Talk™, and  MySpaceIM, IM + Push has a lot of the same features but I don’t feel the interface is as clean and refined. I have been reading a lot of reviews about IM+ push and people are saying it’s buggy and doesn’t work right all the time. This is perhaps why IM+ Push has a 3 star rating and Beejive has a 4 star rating.

I guess it comes down to personal preference, but I think Beejive is the way to go. They have a great app that gets updated a lot and it just works really well. Check them both out in the app store.
