Google Tasks List Makes it to the Big Time

A new feature has made it’s way onto the Gmail web interface. The new feature called tasks is a simple to do list that follows you everywhere. Tasks will automatically ad the task to your calendar if the task has a date associated with it.  If you move it on the calendar it will change the date in the task bar. You can also make emails into task easily and simply.

There is even an iphone application that will allow you to view and update your tasks as well as check them off as you accomplish them.

I think this is a great little addition to the Gmail tools that you can find on the web. I am not much of a list person. I rarely ever make lists to follow but for people who do this might be a good way of doing it.

There are a lot of to-do list applications out there but I would have to side with Google on this one because It’s already integrated into something you use anyways. You don’t have to use another application or plug-in to make a list, Google has you covered.

I would say however that the mail to-do features works just as well and is integrated into ical. It will also sync with your iphone if you have a mobileMe account. You can also set alarms to go off just like a calendar event for each task.
