DoubleTwist Multi-Platform Media Sync Software

DoubleTwist, a free application, works just like iTunes to send and receive data from a phone, camera or other device. You can drag and drop photos and video as well as music to and from an ipod or phone. It is not compatible to the iphone 3.0 software yet but they are saying that it will be soon. There are hundreds of devices that are compatible with DoubleTwist, which makes it a valuable for those who have many devices and want just one application to handle all file transfers and media syncing.

Besides just being able to drag and drop media to and from your device you can also post that content to Facebook, flickr, or youtube. DoubleTwist will save you time if you don’t have an application to upload media directly to a site for you. You can also send media to family and friends privately by selecting the media and clicking send. The recipient will get an email and will be able view the media right from the DoubleTwist website or see it in their DoubleTwist application on the feed.

This is a very interesting concept and I think it might just work. It has compatibility for many devices and it has social networking feature built in. If you get all your friends and family on DoubleTwist everyone can see and share images and video to anyone in your family. Lets not forget that DoubleTwist is Multi-platform allowing Mac and PC users to take advantage of this great software.

I think this is a great application to manage your media on your devices. It works great to upload pictures and video to external websites like flickr and YouTube. They need to fix the iphone 3.0 problem and I think they may have a great little application on their hands. The best part of this application is that it's free to download and use.
