Protecting your wireless network is very important. Not only can people get on your network and steal your internet but they can also watch the network packets that travel over your network. This information could be used to steal passwords get into bank accounts anything and everything you do on the internet potentially could be seen going over the network
To prevent this from happening all you have to do protect your router with a WPA key to prevent the average person from getting onto your router. WPA is more secure than the WEP key, which can sometimes be cracked within minutes. WPA is not impervious but it’s a lot stronger than WEP.

Changing the admin password from the default one can prevent someone from making changes to your router. You will want to do this as well to prevent someone from gaining access to your router and then making changes that may help them steal information from you.
I will show you how to place a WPA key on your router and how to change the admin password in my video.
