Sumo Omni bean bag chair - Alternative dorm furniture or floor pillow

I am not a child of the 70's so I really wasn't into the whole bean bag chair fad. I did however have a bean bag chair when I was little a couple in fact. I had some friends that had a pair that were really expensive that were some kind of denim. They were great for a while and then they went flat. In fact now that I think about it every bean bag chair that I have ever owned either went flat or the seams busted after a while.

When I got older I grew out of thinking that a bean bag chair was an exceptionable alternative to having a chair. To some extent thats still true but having said that I think that the Sumo Omni Bean bag chair is no ordinary bean bag chair. First of all its huge 4.5' x 5.5' to be exact. and its not shaped like a normal bean bag chair either. Most bean bags are shaped like a egg or a pear. The Sumo chair is shaped more like a sac or a sandwich bag. Whats so great about the shape of the Sumo omni is that you can fold it and mold it in many different ways. This allows you to sit and relax in many different positions. If you lay the Omni flat it acts as a huge floor pillow which is great. The Sumo Omni comes in many different shapes, sizes and colors which is great to match the decor of any room. The fabric of the Omni is great because its a rip proof and stain resistant nylon, which makes the Omni wear very well over time.

I think that the Sumo Omni or other products that Sumo makes would make perfect dorm room furniture. They are great for studying and playing video games in, and you never get tired of sitting in them because you can always change the form of the chair.

Now that you can see all the different kinds of Sumo chairs I think that its time for me to talk about my favorite. I Love the idea of the Sumo omni. I think that its great that you can change the positions of the chair. Its no ordinary bean bag chair. Most bean bag chairs only have one way you can sit in it but the Sumo omni has tuns of different ways of sitting in to to prevent you from getting uncomfortable in one position. I was a child in the '70s and I had a bean bag that I loved. It was lime green and vinyl. I would fluff it up and drop myself down in the middle of it, shift around until I was completely comfortable, and stay there for hours watching TV. If I had to go to the bathroom, I would have my sister pull me straight up and out so as not to disturb the hole I had made that conformed to my body shape. Then when I came back, it was all ready to go for the next round of TV watching. (You should hear my medley of 70's TV show theme songs.)

The Sumo Lounge Omni has a very different feel to it than a traditional beanbag. Most bean bag chairs are stuffed with styrofoam balls that make a very light, fluffy bag of air and foam. You can sink into it, but it's not very supportive. The Sumo Lounge Omni is firm enough to support your body, but somehow still even softer than a traditional beanbag chair. It turns into an arm chair, pillow, or comfortable seat cushion depending on how you sit. It will actually stand up on its own once you get out of it. Still, the way it supports and distributes your weight makes it feel like you're sitting on air. I often sit in the one here at the office when my back is sore and it really helps. After trying one myself, I'm seriously considering buying one for my apartment, even though I already have comfortable furniture.

The Sumo Lounge Omni would be perfect for a college dorm. Most dorms are short on space already and don't have room for a couch. A sumo beanbag chair will serve as a comfortable chair when needed, and slide into a closet or under the bed when you don't need it. If you want to really save some serious cash, the sumo lounge omni is actually far more comfortable than the bed I had in college. It's also bigger and far cheaper.

These sumo bean bag chairs are great. I have one and Use it all the time. They are great because you can always change the positions and remold the chair. It's also great because its made out of that hard nylon. It doesn't stain or scratch.

The Sumo bean bag chair is great for a college dorm. Sumo bean bags are also great if you tend to spill stuff because it's made out of Nylon so ot resists stains. My Sumo bean bag has held up really well.
