I LOVE SUSHI I don't know the Japanese names for the different dishes, but I can't think of a meal more ideal more than miso soup, a simple salad with ginger dressing followed by a combination plate of sush and sashimi. There is a new restaurant in my town and I am VERY HAPPY about it The name of the restaurant is Sakura. They are located just a few blocks from my office on Monroe street in Tallahassee Florida. I hope they are OK with me going there every day, because that is what's happening! The owner and her husband are utterly charming. They put a great deal of effort into the decor and design and it shows. It took almost an entire year to open the restaurant! The chefs that work there are magicians.
Here are some pics of some of their sush dishes:
I've been there, too, and I agree -- it is a fantastic restaurant! I had their sushi lunch special (two kinds of sushi rolls, a salad, and miso soup) and everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying one of their entrees.
I noticed the restaurant when I drove past it but haven't had a chance to eat there yet. The food looks delicious and it's so artistic too. I don't make a habit of eating sushi, but I might have to make an exception for this place.
Thanks for the heads up. I pass there all the time and was hoping they'd turn out to be wonderful. Miso soup is soul food. Whole. Centering. Slowly-eaten self care in a bowl.
every day huh, What time? see you there.
I don't know Kurt have you tried Masa. Their sushi is really good. There is not as much of a presentation as far as making shapes or decorating them with umbrellas but they are pretty reasonably priced.
