The Horn

Great News At My Public Library

Some  one   has  just  made  a  donation   to  my  public   library  in  New  Rochelle  in  Westchester  county  New  York   with  the  specific   purpose  of   getting   a  large  number  of  classical  Cds .   What  a   windfall !    I'm   not  sure  what  the  exact  amount   donated  is,  but  this  is  great  news.

I  contacted  the  librarian  in  charge  of  CD  aquisitions   and   offered  to  make  a  list   of  recommended  Cds,  and  she   thought  this  would  be  a  great  idea.   Unfortunately,  the  New  Rochelle  library  does  not  have   a  large  or  varied   classical  CD  collection.

I  used   to  live  in  Levittown,  Long  Island,  and  the  library  there   had  a   wonderfully  large  collection  of  classical  Cds.   The  new   Cds   will  be  a   real  boon  for  my   classical   program  at   a  nursing  home   in  New  Rochelle.  I  can't  wait   to  see  what   the  library  gets.
