Worst Cars List

I have often heard growing up that American made cars are the worst cars to buy. They aren’t built to be reliable and when I look at the makes and models of most cars I pass on the road, see in my neighbors’ driveways or see at restaurants and grocery stores, they are not American made.

I have been wondering for years why that is, but never asked more about it or looked into it. Then today, I see a story on a popular news website titled “Worst-Made Cars on the Road”.  The bad thing about this list is that it still confirms that a lot of American made cars are not up to par: Cadillac Escalade (suv); Chevy Aveo (compact) and Colorado (pickup truck); Dodge Nitro (suv) and a Ford pickup truck.

How awful! Why is it that foreign made cars are rated superior to these brands? As a woman, I guess I never cared to look into this, but after reading such an obvious report,  it’s hard for me to ignore.

Do you own one of these models? Have you ever had problems with Chevy, Ford or Dodge?

Now I’ll admit that I have never owned a vehicle by one of these makers, mostly because of what I heard about them over the years. However, I was one of the crazy people who got a Hyundai back in the 90’s and hated that car more than any I have ever had! On an outing with my family yesterday, I saw a beautiful, sleek, black car that really caught my attention and it turned out to be a Hyundai! They are still around and seem to be doing much better than the last time that I checked them out.
