The Fever is gone - on to other things

Well, I believe most of the sickness in our house is over and done with (this go 'round). Everyone is back to school and work and doing fine. Now we are about to go into the summer--lots of time off from school with almost nothing to do. I am furiously looking into summer activities/camps to see what the best fit is: dance classes, tennis camp, piano lessons, the list goes on and on. Who knew that having a sweet little baby would turn into so much time, work and planning? Our parents, of course. But who listens to them? (I sure hope my children never find this blog).

I'm glad to hear the sickness is finally over. My family used to pass sickness around for weeks on end sometimes.

Summers were always pretty easy for us when we were kids. We just went out in the woods and built forts, swam in the lake, fished, and played endless hours of manhunt and hide n seek with the neighborhood kids. It's still so strange to think of myself as the outdoorsy nature kid I used to be while I'm sitting on the computer blogging away.

Is this change just from growing up or is it our whole society changing this way? The internet kind of grew up alongside me so I really wouldn't know for sure.
