Fevers

I had to pick up my little 4 year old from school today, she had a fever. I thought she had one this morning before school, but could not find the thermometer and so took the chance that she was just being a little fussier than normal. She did feel hot to the touch, so who knows why I ignored that. I was thinking though that maybe moms don't need thermometers. Really, if you think about it, here is how to do your own reading:

-If your child feels warm enough to the touch to concern you, keep them home from school.

-If your child feels hot and is acting lethargic, it's higher than 100 and either call the doctor or use whatever regimen worked for you the last time they got that hot.

-If you need support, call another mom who has been through this several times and ask her what she uses 'cause, based on their advice, it really doesn't seem to me like any of the doctors we have seen for a fever/virus has any children!

I'm sorry to see another of your kids is sick. It's so hard to keep kids from passing sickness around. My family used to pass around anything any of us got. Before you knew it, the whole family was sick. I hope she gets better soon.

My family sees the same doctors as Christine and her husband and Kurt and his family. We love them, and they have EIGHT kids!
