What Did We Do Before the Internet?
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 4:49 PM

I grew up without the internet and everything seemed fine, but as my kids get older and as I chat with youth of today, I see that they will wonder about many things:

-how did you pay your bills?
-where did you get the news?
-how did you share family pictures?
-how did you do your homework?
-how did you communicate without email?
-how did you get hear or see your favorite music?

Will all of this end up in history books? Will our effective ways of communicating be archived? Will we one day see our children laughing about how we used to use: records and cassette tapes; checks; newspapers; photo albums; books and  encyclopedias; pen and paper?

A New Website!
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 5:05 PM

OK, I am not the greatest at learning HTML, but since I have been trying my best to figure it out for over a year now, I thought I would put my skills together to create my first website. This is huge because I may never do it again and it has been quite frustrating, to say the least. Yes, I know I can purchase one of those fancy programs like Dreamweaver to create one, but that would take all of the fun out of understanding the basic HTML language that I wanted to learn. Take a look and see what you think: www.NiNisBakery.com . It will evolve over time, but at least all of the links work. And if you live in the Tallahassee area, give them a try, it's worth it.

Now, on to learning how to build a form that will actually work...
