Ok, if I'm not mistaken that is a MIME in a COW suit. That's a combination of possibly the dumbest and most annoying creatures known to man. I sure wouldn't want to run into one of those in a dark alley.

Facebook can also be very dangerous socially. For example, you often see people posting photos from a great trip that some friends were invited to and others were left out. It also makes a great gossip column for those who use it that way. Honesty may always be the best policy, but there should be room for a little social tact too sometimes.

yeah I was indefinitely the kind of kid that was talking to the rock and singing it songs. I am really surprised that I am not dead from all the crazy stuff that I did when I was a kid. Anyway good post.

I think it's a great idea....but I would watch your back GRANDPA... don't underestimate the stalking skills of the younger generation. Cause we got'em.

That's a great idea, Kurt. But you know how the internet is. Before you know it, your site would be full of good looking teenagers posing as creepy old men so the other creepy old men would talk to them. What a sad world we live in.

I don't stay on it for too long or I start to get depressed. Lately I'll get to see if anyone has posted on my wall or sent me a message... and that's only if I can't check my email to see from there... Oh.. I like to post my status too... even though I probably shouldn't do that because all these people that I don't know will see that I'm tired... or angry at the world... or that I wish I were a goat... OR THAT I SECRETLY DESIRE TO BE SUPREME RULER OF THE UNIVERSE AND EAT YOGURT ALL DAY LONG IN MY SPONGBOB PJs WHILE DWARVES MASSAGE MY FEET..... dude...

It really is perfect for stalkers... and employers. A lot of people don't realize that a Facebook profile is becoming the first stop in a background check for employment. The police are loving it too.

There was one incident where a huge crowd of students illegally rushed the field at a football game. Of course the police couldn't catch most of them because there were just too many. But they later found the Facebook group "I rushed the field at the ___ game" and were able to deal with everyone in the group.

Oh yes, Facebook is the virtual replacement for an actual social life. It was a big part of my livelihood back in college when I was working 10 hour all night shifts, taking classes, and sleeping all day. It was great for keeping in touch with people I didn't get to see because I was nocturnal.

Just be careful because it's very addicting. I showed it to my old roommate and before you knew it, he was spending 2-3 hours a day on it. That's about 300 hours (14 full days)a year. That's a lot of time out of your life.

Music is such an all encompassing media. In order to truly master it, you need not only a lot of math and theory (intellectual knowledge), but a lot of creativity and feeling (artistic aptitude). I think the best musicians have great skill in both.

I'm personally useless in music theory and completely untrained in the head knowledge. I do love just playing by ear and letting the art of it just flow.

Speaking as a trained classical musician who studied music theory, I suppose this it's good to learn these rules as a student; I certainly made plenty of mistakes in this regard when I was a student, but I don't think that it's all that important in judging actual compositions .

In fact, the recidivism rate is very low for murderers, according to the US Dept. of Justice:

--Within 3 years of release, 2.5% of released rapists were rearrested for another rape, and 1.2% of those who had served time for homicide were arrested for a new homicide.
