Memories

You never know what memories people treasure most. When I was younger I remember playing "treasure hunt" with the next door neighbor kids. I had the most fun doing that, we would play for hours just hiding toys around the yard and trying to find them. That was one of my best child hood memories. What are some good memories you'd like to share?

I used to always play Manhunt with my neighbors in the woods. We would run around with flashlights through the forest and chase people down. I LOVED being hunted and was really good at sneaking up on people and scaring the living daylights out of them, then running away before they could catch me.

We also used to play King of the Raft. It was like sumo wrestling for skinny people. We had a huge 15 foot by 3 foot chunk of styrofoam we used as a raft. We would all try to be the only one on top of it in the middle of the water. It was great fun because you could not only throw people off it into the water, but you could tip the whole thing over and dunk its entire contents into the lake.

Oh wow! That sounds like so much fun. I have a really annoying memory of when I was little too. My parents told me we were going to Gatorland and I was SUPER excited.. you have no idea. So we start to drive down towards Gatorland when they decided to tell me that we weren't going.... instead we were going to Disney World. They probably did this to make me really happy because you know.... kids LOVE Disney World. But I was weird kid. When told me this news I was SOOOO upset. To this day, I still want to go to Gatorland. :)

LoL you know most kids really do LOVE Disney World. And Gatorland is cool and all, but most kids wouldn't really like it. So I'm sure they were pretty confident you would be thrilled. It's funny how you can never tell how a kid will react to things. Maybe you should go to Gatorland sometime, just so you can fulfill that childhood dream.

You know, we've planned the trip a few times but I still haven't gone. If you ever get the chance, you should call Gatorland... they have the most amazing answering voicemail ever. I think I was supposed to go to gatorland on my 18th birthday, but never did. Maybe my next birthday will be different. :D
