I just had a patron who was looking for the February 20th issue of Business week this issue is currently checked out, however you can get access to the articles in this issue from EBSCO. Since the assignment was for extra credit Im sure we will get more students looking for this issue.

When a patron calls and asks that we hold an item for them, be sure to place an item-specific hold through the patron's record, so we can "track" the hold in case there is a problem. There are several ways to place such a hold, either through the patron's record, or the item record itself, so if you are of unsure of how to do this, please see Corky or Todd and we will demonstrate it for you.
Please make sure to place a slip in the item with the patron's name, date
requested and contact information, and interfile it with the SWAN/MOBIUS books on the holdshelf.
Regards,
Todd

We have a new procedure regarding ILL articles!
ILL articles will now be kept in manilla envelopes with the patron's name & date the article was received on the top left corner, and interfiled with SWAN/MOBIUS books.
Any questions? See Corky or Todd.

All part-time staff are reminded of the black tray on the range behind the service desk where overdue notices are placed for the daily check. This check was not done two days last week.
Once you have checked the shelves for the overdue item(s), please initial the slip and make photocopies of the slips to be mailed; e-mail notices may be given to Todd. The photocopied overdue notices should be folded and put in the window mailing envelopes and sealed. Leave them in the tray and I will finish processing them.
The weekly assignments are as follows:
Monday: Tracy
Tuesday: Ashley
Wednesday: Lisa
Thursday: April
Friday: Becky
Thanks!

Please, Please, Please when shutting down the student copier do not use the switch on the front of the machine. This button is only to be used when turning it on. Our copier is like a computer in that it has a hard drive and it has to be shut down like a computer. If it gets turned off incorrectly it will say power failure the next time it is turned on.
On the copier you will see buttons/options. One says user functions. Please select this button and it will bring up different options on the screen. From the options given, please select the user button option. Then you will select the shut down option, and finally you will confirm the shut down by selecting yes. If anyone has questions please come ask me and I will walk you through it. Thanks.

If the new copy machine runs out of paper, just pull out the front drawer and add paper. No key is needed. If there is a paper jam the same applies - no key is needed. Thanks.

The copier out front is not taking dollar bills. I have placed a call to Copy Products and they are sending out someone either today or tomorrow. In case I am not here I gave them Amy and Gwen's names. They are coming to see why the copier is not taking dollar bills, change the bypass tray from 10 cents a copy to 5 cents, and to show us again how to reset the memory when we remove money from the copier. If they call please let one of us know when they arrive. Thanks.

Hello everyone.
There is new information for the 'Math Reserves'. Here is a list of the types of reserves we have for each Math class.
Math 040 VHS & DVDs
Math 050/110 VHS & CD-ROMs
Math 130 VHS
Math 131 VHS
Math 138 VHS
Math 210 VHS
Be aware if a student comes in looking for a CD-ROM for Math 130, it should have come with their textbook. We do not have these on reserve in the LRC.
I have placed a red label in front of the Math 040 and Math 050/110 to indicate what they are (DVD or CD-ROM). I hope this helps. :-)
If you have any questions please ask.
