I have taken off all of the plays under Oakleys' reserves. Students will still be returning them so when they are returned please give them to me, Amy. :-)
Thank you,

There are two reference books that are missing -- would someone on the evening shift tonight please do a search for them? A printout of item's record is on the stand above the MOBIUS shelf.
Thanks!

When checking out or renewing MOBIUS/SWAN books in the next few days please pay close attention to the due dates coming up on the computer. These due dates reflect when other libraries are going to be open over the break and we need to make patrons aware their items are due on that date.
DO NOT automatically put our renewal date of January 3rd on these materials Please tell the patrons they can return them to OTC or renew them here before December 22nd or they must return them to another area library that is open over the holidays. Suggest Drury or MSU as they probably have the longest hours during that time. If they need assistance renewing they could also go to those same libraries.
Questions?? Ask me or Todd.

The IT Department is going to give some training to LRC Staff on how to successfully burn CDs. At this point, some staff do not have CD burning rights which might explain some of our frustrations. We may get a program called Nero installed on the Front Desk computers. Then all of the staff would have rights and hopefully burning will be smoother. I think we sometimes get bad CDs and that complicates the troubleshooting process.
Stay Tuned! :-)

Thanks to everyone who has let me know what their availabilty is for the Spring semester work schedule. There are still a few who have not communicated with me, though -- please turn in your availability via e-mail by no later than Friday, December 9, so I can start working on the schedule right away.

Hello All,
When checking in CDs, please look inside the case BEFORE checking in the item.
I have found several issues this morning, i.e. no CDs in the case, extra CDs in
the case, booklets missing, etc. We need to be extra aware with CDs, as
somethimes there are multiple parts to the item and we need to make sure all
the parts are there.
Also, we are starting to put OTC property labels on the CDs, DVDs, and videos.
There will be labels in the drawers out front to put on these items as they are
returned. I am putting the labels on the ones that are on the shelf. I need
your assistance to catch the ones that are checked out. Please put the last 6 digits of the barcode on the label.
Thanks for your help. If you have any questions, please ask!

From now on when doing hourly headcounts, be sure to count any patron using one of the three catalog computers and/or their personal laptops in the LRC in with the Computer use colum on the stats sheet.
Thanks!

When burning the BIO 120 notes onto a CD, make sure to ask the patron if they have access to Microsoft Powerpoint. If they do not, copy the Powerpoint viewer onto the CD as well. You will find the viewer in the same folder with the bio notes: Division, LRC, Reserves, BIO 120. Thanks!

There are two books in the Rosa Parks' display that are not cataloged as of yet. One is a children's book and the other is a poetry book. If a patron would like to check these out, please take their name and student ID number and we'll put them on hold for it as soon as they are ready to circulate. Thanks!
