Now that we're about halfway through the third season of Grey's Anatomy I think it's a great time to reflect back on what we've seen so far. All in all, I think it's been a pretty crappy season. Now before all you rabid fans start going for my thoat at least give me a chance to explain myself.
The one thing I really hated about Season 1 was that the show was so unbelievable. Few actions had negative effects and for a show that's supposed to be about a hospital it was pretty trite. Think back to the Bomb Episode. Sorry, but Meredith should be dead. In pieces. But oh no, couldn't kill her--couldn't even have that explosion be traumatic enough to impact her prissy little life.
Season 2 did a better job of fixing this. Bad things happened to the main characters and it looked as though they were going to give us a good reason to watch. But then Izzy killed Denny (good drama) but she was able to come back? Come on.
Season 3 has been almost as bad as Season 1 in terms of Do I Buy It? The most interesting story lines are getting neglected (Alex & MsDreamy for one) so we can see more about George's dad. Who cares! He should have already been dead. And now Burke and Christine are going to get back together? COME ON. For the sake of the show, kill of someone important--and soon.
