Jamie and I were able to get seats on the 30 yard line on the Home side for the game against Wake Forest. Awesome right? Sort of. Throw in driving rain and another 60 minutes of anemic offense and it lost a little of that...special something. FSU was shut out at home for the first time under Bobby Bowden and the first time since 1973. I was -6 when it last happened.
As a Cubs fan I am ok with losing. I get to experience it every baseball season. However, FSU is supposed to win. It's a football school. It's football that gives the school enough money to spend on the arts. When FSU doesn't win everyone suffers. I know it's highly unlikely but if Western Michigan beats FSU (assuming a loss to UF) then we don't even go to a bowl game. And no bowl game means about $5m in lost revenue. Revenue that buys modeling clay and clarinets and dance leotards. So you better beat WMU!
