If I didn't want people to read my very insightful, witty and downright ground-breaking thoughts I wouldn't keep a blog--I would keep a diary. "Dear Diary" it would start "as you know my thoughts are typically so profound and earth-shattering there is absolutely no way the public at large would ever be able to make sense of them. Attempting to do so would only cause mass hysteria and panic throughout the nations."
Anyone who keeps a blog, regardless of what they say, wants random people to read their ramblings. I know because I am one of those. Don't get me wrong--I am fully aware that my well-sculpted prose will never grace a publication and for the most part not thrill readers to orgasm. I get it; really.
Ever since The Friendly-Engine-Formerly-Known-As-Google (FEFKAG) and traffic has plummeted to maybe 50 hits a day (down from 600-2000) I've been pretty mad. Most computer problems I can fix or at least know what's wrong. Parse error? I left out a semicolon. Email not sending? I probably have the wrong server settings. But with SEO stuff I just don't know and any time you don't know you worry that it could be something crazy.
